Eiffel Tower with Flypaper Textures...
One of my favorite ways to add texture to a photograph is by the use of Flypaper Textures. Each texture is unique and beautiful, the hardest part of using them is deciding on which one to use, as they all are great! For this image, I wanted to create a painterly look, and chose a texture with a brushstroke pattern. The key to combining images is to select a blend mode that is complementary to the image. I'll most often choose Soft Light or Overlay. If you want to read more on textures, read my quick tutorial here. Once you've blended your images, Nik Color Efex Pro can add the perfect finishing touch, from a rich colorful gradient, to contrast that will bring out the detail and color. Get in touch with your artistic side this weekend and try working with textures! Happy Friday!
