Walk with me...

It's rainy here in Florida, September always is. It made me think of this photo I took while walking underneath a friend's colorful umbrella.
I liked the idea of the picture, but I wanted to make it more painterly and expressive, rather than just a straight photograph. I must be a frustrated painter trapped inside a photographer's body!
Here, I used one of my favorite plug-ins, Alien Skin's Snap Art to create a rendition that fit the vision I had in mind when I made the photograph. If you haven't tried it, download the trial version for fun! If you like it, please feel free to use this code for a 10% discount DEB0902.
One of the things I like about this plug-in is that focus areas can be added for clarity in targeted areas, and there's a multitude of variations for effects. The settings can be customized and saved, making the resultant image more personalized.
In the meantime, I'm off for a walk if it ever stops raining...
