The majestic Badlands of South Dakota offers endless creative opportunities for the photographer. You'll capture beautiful sunsets, sunrises, fascinating terrain, wildflowers and historic sites with the expert guidance and creative assistance of Jason Odell and Deborah Sandidge.
In this semi private small group, you'll receive individualized instruction, personal photo reviews, critiques, inspiration and ideas to create award winning fine art photos. You'll come away with ideas and techniques to apply to your photography long after the workshop. We'll get you to the best locations at the right time of day, plus some fun spots too. Through photo shoots and detailed classroom instruction, Jason and I will guide you on HDR, B&W conversion, color creativity, ways to best capture a composition, and how to visualize your ideas through image optimization.
I'll also have a few infrared cameras available so you can experience a little one-to-one infrared photography. You'll see how surreal and beautiful the world is portrayed in infrared, a wonderful way to maximize a great subject - the Badlands.
