Nik HDR Efex Pro, an easy to use, yet sophisticated application for merging HDR imagery. I loved that there were two old American cars parked in the same alley, a lucky find after a lot of walking, and a step back in time.
Some of the latest and greatest new cameras have quick HDR features and options, so it may be a tweak or two with plug-ins such as Nik Tonal Contrast or Detail Extractor that makes a nice difference in the final image. The subject matter will often suggest what direction to take the image, photorealistic, surrealistic or somewhere in between, you are the artist, you get to decide!
