Hope to see you in Florida in 2012!

I hope to meet you in sunny Florida in January! I'll be in the Everglades teaching a workshop with Maxis Gamez on January 21 and 22. Click here for more information on this beautiful location at the best time of year for bird activity. Maxis is an expert guide and bird photographer, and will get you to the right locations at the right time of day. I'll cover HDR, infrared, and everything creative! Lots of fun and learning packed into this workshop, just a few opening left.

I'm honored to be invited as a guest of Dr. Jason Odell for the Florida Space Coast Birding Safari. Viera and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge are two of my very favorite places to photograph here in Florida. I grew up on the Space Coast, and love this area for it's unique beauty. January is the perfect month for a wide variety of migrating birds, offering the photographer wonderful photo opportunities.

If you haven't checked out Dr. Jason Odell's video, Layers of Creativity, you are missing out! Jason covers the "how to's" of layers in Photoshop, and he also covers great ideas on working with Nik Color Efex Pro, and Nik Silver Efex Pro. This makes a great holiday gift for a friend who loves photography! It's only $19.99, plus you can add Field Notes to your order for $7.00, how cool is that! Click here to check it out!

I'll be giving a presentation on Infrared Photography on March 22 at the Indian River Photo Club in Vero Beach, FL. Shooting in infrared is a wonderful way to broaden your photographic horizons. Want to know a little more? Click here for more info on infrared, my book and online courses. For those of you near the Carolina's, I'll be speaking at CNPA, the Carolina's Nature Photographers Association in February.

Florida's Birding & Photo Fest is in April. I'm excited to be teaching in St. Augustine again this year, and I hope to see you there too!
Happy shooting!
