Create a more expressive image - Convert to B&W...

This man is literally down to his last shoestring, and looks like he has lost his best friend. There is such disparity between the tall ornate columns and his humble form. It's harder for me to take this type of photo, but it seemed poetic in some way.

I used Topaz Labs BW Effects, the Van Dyke Brown Collection for a more reverent presentation. B&W Effects is an excellent converter that offers many creative options in black and white processing and optimization. B&W Effects is available from Topaz Labs, you can use code deborahsandidge. Converting to monochrome can change the look and mood of an image. Although some of the reality is removed, the subject can communicate more clearly, and become more expressive.  Take good care, ~ Deb
