The signs in San Francisco's downtown area create a colorful and creative opportunity for the photographer. Layers upon layers of aged to perfection signs make photographing this town a lot of fun. I liked the pastel colors in the image, and I added a layer of texture for interest and depth, and just a hint of an illustrative look. I admit to photographing a lot of signs, as the shapes and colors are fascinating. To get this much information into a single image, I used a 70-200mm lens composing as I was walking along the streets. My goal was to eliminate the sky and incorporate as much colorful signage as possible. This ended up being one of my favorite sign shots. Make great pictures, and have fun! ~ Deb
