My Favorite Things... Extended Definition Processing

This week's blog posts are devoted to my favorite things in Photoshop! The first latest and greatest favorite is found right in Adobe Camera Raw. This technique is what Scott Kelby calls EDP, Extended Definition Processing. If you are a member of NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) you may have already tried this. If not, what are you waiting for? No need to download trial versions or purchase additional plug-ins, just watch the video and use the technique on your photo. Easy, fun and way cool results! Thank you Scott Kelby!

The Cuban architectural photo above was processed using EDP, and enhanced with another one of my favorite things to be covered later this week. EDP is pretty amazing, and I think you'll enjoy working with the ideas of what you can do right in camera raw.

Here's another example of EDP, and the original image. I liked the HDR effect on the subject, only a small amount was masked out during processing. The transformation is impressive with a wedding photo I'm working on, a beautifully enhanced bride, groom and background! Enjoy working with Scott Kelby's EDP technique, I'm sure it will become one of your favorite's too.
